11.23.2006 Gratitude

At times in my life I have been overwhelmed with feelings of gratitude. Feeling so blessed and so thankful that I can hardly catch my breath. At times it is almost too much for me - the emotions are so strong. I hope to always be the kind of Mother that expresses her gratitude - in whatever form. I hope to teach my boys to be thankful young men - with an overall sense of gratitude for their lives.

Right now, I am thakful for so many things. I am grateful for our new home. For my friends that are supporting me through challenges. For love. For parents that are reaching out. For the chance to create. For my boys that mean the world to me. I am so very grateful.

11.20.2006 THESE FACES...

THESE FACES....

THESE FACES can convince me to buy a gumball each time we pass a machine.

THESE FACES can make me forget the mess that they just made in the kitchen.

THESE FACES can coax me to read books with them, way past bed-time.

THESE FACES make me happy when I am feeling sad.

THESE FACES make me want to rush home when I have been away.

THESE FACES are beautiful - clean or dirty.

I love THESE FACES far more than I can explain.

10.31.2006 All Hallows Eve

10.25.2006 Autumn

Meaure in russet leaves, in pine cones, in fallen apples, in rich earthy colors, in pumpkin patches. In bonfires, in jumping in piles of leaves, in hats & gloves, in inches of rain, in the State Fair. In harvests, in "back to school", in football games, in trick or treating. That's how I measure the season of Autumn.
