12.27.2006 Reflections

This has been a difficult year in my life. There have been many changes, some positive, some not. With the new year beginning next week, I felt it appropriate to reflect on some of the lessons I've learned over the past twelve months.

Things I've learned....
.....people grow up too fast.
.....sometimes dreams come true. Dream big.
.....that if you hear the toilet flush and the words "uh-oh", it's already too late.
.....you can't be mad if you're smiling.
.....new shoes always look great no matter how much you weigh.
.....don't let a day pass without laughter and a hug. Feed your soul.
.....it takes courage to be creative....and happy.
.....always listen to your Mother.
.....toenails look better painted.
.....sometimes it's not the destination that matters. It's the journey.
.....keep the twinkle in your eyes.
.....people will come and go through your life. Learn life lessons from these relationships.
.....the laundry never ends.
.....you can never take too many pictures.
.....it is okay to be me.
.....don't forget that what goes around really does come around....it just may take awhile.
.....value your friendships.
.....happiness runs in a circular motion.
